Rendering multiple files

It sounds like you need a batch converter which I don’t believe Vegas does. If you r trying to just convert the format of many files, Google “Free video batch converter” and several show up.

Danny, this is easily doable in Vegas with a batch render script. There’s several available that will let you pick multiple files and render them all to a particular format.

Thanks Ed, I knew Vegas wouldn’t right out of the box but I didn’t know of a script for this. I searched a little at Vasst but there’s a lot of broken links and I couldn’t find one. Can you post a link to one for Simon? Danny Hays

I have one on my hard drive called:

GUI_Multiple_Project_Render.js

I didn’t write it so I don’t feel I should post it. There is also the ‘Veggie Toolkit’ which has been able to do this for many years.

I don’t have a direct link to any quickly available. The batch renderer included with Vegas could be modified to handle multiple projects as well.

The batch renderer in Ultimate S offers project-based rendering (based on multiple veg files) It also properly stores nested veg projects.
