I am copying an older project of mine that only exits on a DVD in mpg2. After importing into Vegas pro 9, how can I make a few simple cuts and get it back on DVD without recompressing and the resultant quality hit?

    Thank you,

If its imported and on the timeline as mpeg2 format and you
add just simple cuts and you render back out as the same mpeg2,
then their will be no recompression…(only the edited/cut areas will be recompressed)

If you used CBR it can be done. You must set the CBR the same or higher than the original. If you used VBR you are out of luck.
