  • Rendering Motion Blur for Motion Projects in a FCP Timeline

Posted by David Hames on July 8, 2007 at 7:36 pm

I really appreciate that I can put a Motion Project right into a FCP timeline, but I realized, the rendered result isn’t as nice as when I export a rendered movie and include to render motion blur (at 32 samples). I tried using the motion blur tab in FCP–at 32 samples, but the end result was disappointing at best. Is there a way to get the best of both worlds, great looking motion blur AND the flexibility of putting the motion project right into the FCP timeline?

Also, while on a simlilar subject, is there a way to batch render several motion projects–that way I can get them ready, and start a render before lunch? (HD takes a while on my dual 2.7 G5.)

    Thanks for your help.

    David
