A timeline with stills, I apply the default transition to the timeline, it plays fine until I render it, transitions become “cuts”.

This is a bug. Add a keyframe to the opacity for the clips involved. No need to tweek the keyframe.

Thanks Ann, that works but now after rendering, the timeline plays automatically and keeps playing, I have no control over it. Is there a setting to shut-off automatic playback, I don’t see it in Preferences.

Under General in the preferences there is a checkbox: play workarea after rendering previews.

Once again, thanks Ann, I knew about that checkbox. Problem was, it WAS unchecked, that’s why I couldn’t understand why it was happening. Luckily, Adobe has pretty good support. After calling them, it turns out the “Preferences” must have gotten corrupted after a few crashes, so, TS had me rename some folders and it has been corrected.
    Thanks again,
