Whats up guys and gals. I’m having a hell of a time trying to render my animated clip as 16:9 . I’ve tried everything…and the only thing that exports as 16:9 is when i change the composite settings to “HDV/HDTV 720” option. I’m making this intro and then importing it and further editing in Vegas. Well when i import anything besides a “HDV/HDTV 720” clip in Vegas, they are smashed down to 3:4. Could someone please tell me what i’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance!!

1.yes i am using the “render queue”
2.yes i have tried the DV Widescreen Composite Settings
    3. Thanks Again!!

P.S….when i render a DV Widescreen Clip, After Effects is the only program that reads it as a “WideScreen 16:9” clip! agggghh!

It sounds to me like you need to tell Vegas that it is 16:9 footage. Both NTSC DV and NTSC DV Widescreen are 720×480 pixels, the difference is that 4:3 NTSC displays have a 0.9 pixel aspect ratio (effectively squeezing the image to 90% of its square pixel width for display) and 16:9 NTSC displays have a 1.2 pixel aspect ratio (effectively stretching the image to 120% of its square pixel width for display).

Is there somewhere in Vegas that you can set a pixel aspect ratio, or tell Vegas that the footage is ‘anamorphic’ or 16:9?

haven’t found it….i’m looking everywhere for that. The wierd thing is..is that Quicktime doesn’t even pick it up as 16:9! So i’m copying and pasting this in the Vegas forum too. But the search of a cure is still on! Thx
