I’ve got a problem when rendering my projects for burning in Architect. I understand that whether I render as MPEG 2 or other format, that Architect will eventually transcode into MPEG 2. Is that true?
I also understand that I must render video and audio separately. I’ve done this, but when I insert into Architect, I only get the audio. I thought that when rendering separately that Architect would automatically take the rendered audio with the video. True?
    Thanks for any help,
    Tim

Are they named exactly the same? If you select the mpeg first do you get video only?

Thanks for the quick reply. In my original post I said that I get audio only to insert fron Vegas into Architect. I actually meant that I get only VIDEO to insert. I pretty sure that I’ve named then exactly the same. I render as mpeg 2x, first time as video and second time as audio with both saved into the same folder. I’ve tried to render audio in the recommended formats. The audio file just doesen’t show up with the video render and doesn’t insert automatically with the audio.
    thanks again for your help.

What audio formats have you tried, ac3?

“I render as mpeg 2x, first time as video and second time as audio with both saved into the same folder”

As Randy said, your second render should be ac-3, not another mpeg-2, as this is the audio format preferred by DVD Architect.
Give them both the same surname, render them to the same folder and then the audio file will automatically load into DVDA when you load the video file.

I have tried ac3 and Dolby… I name the audio render the same as the video render, but change the settings to audio. Still can’t get Architect to import the audio with the video ???
    Thanks

“…but change the settings to audio.”

    Whhat does that mean?
AC-3 is an audio file so nothing should be getting changed.
