Now many moons ago you used to be able to render in lower than full rez for quick estimations….this was replaced pretty much by RT extreme. Is it still possible somewhere in the menus to render at low rez for quick preview render passes? (other than quickview) I’m looking for full frame rate renders so I can check motion etc and dont mind if it’s wildly pixelated.

    thanks

Long ago Appel promoted the use of RT OFFLINE easy set-ups for that purpose. The truth is that I’ve never used it and I don’t know if renders fast enough to be worth but is supposed to work well for RT preview.

I believe there is a render resolution option in your user prefrences under the render Tab.
There is a % based option there…never used it but I remember seeing there.

    Good Idea. That may work.
