Activity Forums Adobe After Effects rendering illustrator files

  • rendering illustrator files

    Hi there,

I recently used illustrator files for the first time in After Effects (I normally use PSD layers or .png’s). I assume that when you import said illustrator files they are not in vector form. My question is: what are the flattened former .ai files once they’re imported? And why does a render of said files look so low res?

    I’d appreciate your input. Thanks!

What Dave said. Also, read this, it may prove useful.
