  rendering hickup

  AE seems to take a while to start rendering and likes to hang up a while at the end of the render. My blue progress bar gets right down to the very end, then pauses for minutes on end before it completes writing the file to which ever disk I’m sending it. The same sort of thing happens in the ram preview as well.

  My machine is a Dual 2.3 Ghz G5 and I have 4.5 Ghz of ram.

  I am on CS3. I also have “Render multiple frames simultaneously” switched on.

  Could this be causing it?
