[Ben Edwards] ” The film is shot in HSV and I wish to submit it in ‘HDCAM 1080 25p’ (this seems the most suitable of the ones they are asking for). So my question is how do I render into this format. I have had a look at the ‘Render as’ option and nothing jumps out at me.”
HDCAM is a tape format. Do you have SDI out and an HDCAM deck? If not, you’ll need to pay a post house to transfer your file to HDCAM tape for you.
I can highly recommend CaptionMax. They are a closed caption service but they aso print to HDCAM tape. I don’t know if they will accept just a print job but it’s worth asking. They are one of the only post houses that will take Sony XDCAM 422 files from Vegas Pro and print them to HDCAM tape without charging you outrageous fees because it’s not in the “precious” Apple ProRes 422 format.
If you didn’t mean that you wanted to submit your film on HDCAM tape then you’ll seen to render it to a format that the festival supports.
