    Well, guys,

    Thoughts on this subject. Anyone doing it and anyone happy with the results? I’m just not yet. Too much twitter. Final Cut does a great job but the shift fields isn’t quite right for this completely. If everything was progressive…well that would be great.. but it’s interlaced.

    I haven’t found a satisfying solution – and I don’t mean run it out through the KONA in realtime – not what I mean.

    I’m just curious to what others are doing or accepting of this process.

    Why not? That will be the best way. Capture your HD using the Kona to down convert or use the HD deck to do the down convert. Couldn’t really be much easier than that, much less rendering, great quality and you will have all timecode in tact.
