Rendering HD files
I’m sure this has been posted before, but I recently threw together some test hd footage from my fz35 in vegas and rendered the clip. It was just under a minute long, but the file size was over 6 gigs?! I tried changing different settings and lowering the quality and it’s still really big.
Are HD files always rendered this big? I’m about to start working on a small project with some friends, and I was planning on shooting in HD, but if the file is too big and I can’t even put it on a DVD or anything, then it’s pointless. Any suggestions, guys?

You must be rendering as uncompressed to get a reall big file from a minute long video. Try Sony AVC HD formats.

Uncompressed HD for a 30sec TV spot is about 8GB….
