I’m trying to create a data file/video for a local television station of a fifteen second commercial I’ve done using still images and audio. The TV station has recently switched to Final Cut Pro and aren’t quite sure (believe it or not) exactly what format they need. Previously, I’ve used FCP myself on a Mac and given them a Quicktime movie, which apparently worked, but I’m getting better results out of Vegas.
But I can’t get the “Render As” function to make me a file that seems usable. Choosing Quicktime 7 creates an 1Gb file for the 25 seconds (black lead in and out of the fifteen second commercial).
Can someone please advise me or recommend Render settings that will create a file of good quality that can be imported into FCP? Preferably Quicktime to keep them happy. Bear in mind this is Australia, so it’s PAL and 4:3 ratio is still preferred.

    Cheers, Graeme.

Why not just do a “print to tape” and bring that to them?
