Rendering for Playstation PS4 VR
Has anyone any experience rendering to view on a PS4? Specifically for 360 VR video.
According to Sony their supported formats are:
MKV
Visual: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High Profile Level4.2
Audio: MP3, AAC LC, AC-3 (Dolby Digital)
AVI
Visual: MPEG4 ASP, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High Profile Level4.2
Audio: MP3, AAC LC, AC-3 (Dolby Digital)
MP4
Visual: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High Profile Level4.2
Audio: AAC LC, AC-3 (Dolby Digital)
MPEG-2 TS
Visual: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High Profile Level4.2, MPEG2 Visual
Audio: MP2 (MPEG2 Audio Layer 2), AAC LC, AC-3 (Dolby Digital)
AVCHD (.m2ts, .mts)When I try and render anything to H264 High 4.2, it says that the largest resoltion is 1920 x 1080.
HOWEVER…
If I render at 4096 x 2048 and then use EasyFab Video converter selecting PS4, the resulting file is 2048 x 1024 and DOES play. But I can’t set that size directly from AE or AME as it’s too large for H264 H4.2.
If I try High 5.1, it doesn’t play.
Anybody have any experience with this?
