    Hi all,
A quick question about rendering for dvda.

When rendering video files to mpeg2, is there any way to render the audio to ac3 at the same time or, do they have to be rendered seperately and, if seperately, how do you link the two?

    Many thanks

    Pete

Unless you use a batch render script (and I think one comes with Vegas 7), you’ll have to do them separately.
As long as you use the same name for each one (eg. pete.mpg and pete.ac3) and render them to the same folder, DVDA will automatically load the audio file as soon as you load the video file.

[Mike Kujbida] “As long as you use the same name”

To make this easier and avoid errors when I open the render dialog, I always single click the rendered mpeg file to put the name down in the file name box, then change the render format to AC3. Less typing, and you can be sure that the root names match up.
