    Hi,
I have a particular sequence in Pro 2 ehich is giving me some jip when I try to render.
As soon as I hit enter, it comes up with:

    Error compiling movie.
    Unknown Error.

I have had this a couple of times, but when I close and re-open the project it works fine, but this particular sequence doesn’t seem to right itself.

There are no extravagent effects to render – some basic audio effects, and brightness/contrast, slow-motion or dual-layers on the video tracks… It has managed far more complicated situations with ease.

Any idea what the problem could be?

    Thanks,

    Adam Clements

try rendering a portion of the sequence
try exporting the whole sequence or a portion.
You may need to use trial and error to find the clip that is causing a problem.

Alternatively, make a new project and import the problem project into the new project.

Premiere’s vague error messages can be frustrating – i have posted my fair share of questions about these over the years.

If, by chance, the clip that’s giving you beef is a TGA sequence, then I would say that is your problem. I’ve had nothing but headaches getting Premiere to render TGA sequences. Since the day I switched to using 32-bit PNG sequences, life has been much easier.

    Great,

I do actually have a targa sequence in this section, though if it is the beef-laden clip in question, it has affected the project as a whole because I am getting these errors for any part of the two master squences in the project.

I will try removing them and give it another go.

    Thanks,

    Adam
