I’ve tried twice rendering a basic dv footage with Vegas 11. I’m using DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream.
Both times the video came out blurry, and seeing double images at times. The video looks fine before it’s rendered. Never had issyues rendering with versions 9 and 10. Any idea’s??

How long was the final program?
Were you using the default template?
What did you watch it on (TV, computer, other)?

It was about an hour long. The render as screen in 11 has changed a lot. I used one with a yellow favorite star next to it..DVD Architect NTSC widescreen video stream.
It was shaky on computer, as well as finished DVD on TV.
FYI, went into Vegas 10, and did same project flawlessly.

For some strange reason, Sony decided to change the DVD render template in Pro 11 from lower field first (what it is in Pro 7, 8, 9 & 10) to upper field first which is why you’re getting the problems you’re getting.
If I was you, I’d make a custom template with it set to lower field first.
Since it’s under 70 min. long, change the bit rate to a constant 8,000,000
Save this as a preset for future use.

    Hi Mike,

I had some issues in the past with rendering and having some fuzziness around moving soccer players. I ended up changing the settings to None (progressive). Also, I thought I read in the latest Vegas Pro 11 book I got from Amazon that it was recommended to use None. Anyway, I’m pretty new at this but for me it worked. Could you please help me out and let me know what’s the difference between using Lower Field First vice None.
