January 6, 2011 at 1:30 amok, this worked well. This is much better now. Now my doubt is what will happen when i add these rendered videos back to my project and as part of final project will i get high def videos? I would like to have my final project to use mkv and encode them in H.264 with 1080 resolution. Is it possible? I dont see Vegas having mkv as container nor H.264 as codec. Where can i install them?

January 6, 2011 at 1:43 amIf all your project settings and render settings are HD you should get a final HD video.
Vegas doesn’t have mkv as container.
I don’t recommend to install any codecs in your pc. Vegas has a lot of options. It does support H.264.
You can use MPG2, Avi, QuickTime, … depending of how your video will be used.
You can check here about containers formtas: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_container_formats
