I’m using Sony vegas 9 Platinum.

My source files are cineform avi having been converted from avchd (HD 1080-50i).

Just wondering how to store my project in best/identical quality for any future use?

AVI seems to be the best container, but under this i have a few options

    1. Default Template (uncompressed) – Is this file going to be massive? Is this overkill?

    2. Gopro cineform codec v7.5.5 – Selecting ‘custom’, i found this option under ‘video format’. Is this smaller than umcompressed but visually lossless?

    3. Lagarith- I read this was a lossless format that could be downloaded and used as a plug in? Recommended?

In the past i’d be left with around 20GB from saving 90mins of minidv footage (as Pal DV)
I don’t really want to go much above 100GB for 90 mins of HD (so HD 1080-50i YUV was not looking good)
