    If I understand what you are trying to do…the procedure is to duplicate your sequence, select all the clips in the timeline, then nest the entire sequence. Apply the filter to the nest. If everything is already rendered, this is often a realtime effect, depending on your system specs and your working codec.

    FCP renders from the top down making a single composite, so if you need to render, everything gets re-rendered.

    Hi John,

    Thank you for responding!

    I think you’ve got it.. basically i have 3 way CC on most of my clips, this is now rendered.

    I now need to burn TC on the entire sequence.

    Correct me if i’m wrong.

    So if i now nest my sequence and then lay another layer over it for the TC, the sequence would need to be re rendered only the layer with TC will.

    Don’t add another layer. Apply the filter to the nest.
