Rendering / compression / frame size workflow question
Hi
I am working with Sony Vegas 8 and capturing directly into vegas with my Sony PMW EX1.
My unexperience has got me scratching my head towarrd the end of the workflow.
I am shooting at 1920 X 1080 50i 25fps.
I am then working in a project of this size in Vegas.
I hope I am correct up until here.I then am confused by which stage I should be trying to add my compression.
I want to achieve very high quality video for the web (size is not important to a degree) but am not sure where to reduce file size and frame size.
Should I be rendering my file as an uncompresed .mov, .wmv, .avi at 1920 x 1080 and then putting that file into something like procoder to reduce the frame size and to add compression to the file size.
Or, Should I be adding the compression to the rendering process out of Vegas i.e selecting a custom template and specifying desired frame size and also KBPS??
What is the best file format to use, god there is so many to choose from I dont know which one is the best.
I want to be able to post my videos within my webpage as a flash format – FLV!!
I know this is a long post but I could really do with a few tips.
Thanks in advance
David
