Hey guys i’m really struggling here. I’m a designer for an app company called Appstart and I need a snow effect for a game were working on. I have the effect I want but the only format I can render as is PNG (the only way the coding software will read it). I need an alpha channel for the snow to overlay onto the game but when I try to export it, I keep getting a message saying “Warning: You should also output an alpha channel to use straight colour”. Im getting desperate. I’m a total rookie on AE so I would appreciate if you were nice to me if this is a stupid mistake 😀
    Thanks in advance

Change Channels (under Video Output in the Output module) to “RGB + Alpha.”

Hi I did this but the background is still grey! Am I stupid or something?

    Is your comp really transparent?

Click the transparency grid button and see if you can see through your particle system to the checkerboard:

It appears not. I have made some firework type particle explosions and they are transparent but the rain and snow are not.
