rendering (and other) problems. Help needed fast.
Hello,
Its my first post on the forum and as usual I really hope that someone could help me out with this in the next, let´s say 3 hours. I have until the morning, but man has to sleep sometimes…
I´m doing a “small” job for my friend and this “small” job is turning into a nightmare.
Platform is Macbook Pro, OS X 10.5.7, 4Gb, Final Cut Pro 6.06
What´s in hand is a spot that is made from huge still images. Project is full HD. Client said any full HD will do and I´m not yet familiar with working in fullHD, so I set the properties as follows: (hope that they are at least close to something right)
frame size: 1920 x 1080 HDTV 1080i (16:9)
pixel aspect ratio: square
compressor: HDV1080i50the images were big as hell, so I resized them in photoshop to 4243×3010. I needed them to be bigger that HD because there is zooming involved.
Everything was ok at first, but then there was the first problem with anti-alias. The thin lines of the pictures were aliasing and the anti-alias effect didn´t do them any good. the problem was not too big for us so we left as it was. Now (after other problems) I realized that the image is fine until I render it. The aliasing happens after render and before that the image is ok. ??? Any ideas what I´m doing wrong here???
project is to be exported to a file that will be converted to something else (I guess) by the client for a big screen and some internet TV …? They said no compressed MOV-file is ok. Any ideas on the “no compression” is also appreciated because if I don´t put any compression, the file will be something like 6Gb. (and actually there´s another spot of 60 seconds that would be almost 12Gb) I guess it would be better to give them also another files with some compression. What would be the most used? I don´t know what system they have…
There was a lot of other problems, but while I was writing this I came up with an idea and I think (hope) that the anti-alias/rendering problem is the last one right now, but I still need help with it. And any kind of help is really really appreciated
