I’ve recently moved over from 3DS Max. In Max I could create a spline and under the object properties make it visible during render and even adjust the thickness. How would I achieve this in C4D? I’ve searched the posts for “spline” and “render spline” and haven’t come up with anything.

Splines aren’t renderable in c4d as they are in Max. You’ll have to sweep nurbs it.

There’s a freebie plugin, I think it’s called fastpipe, that will do it automatically for you if you need lots of them.

Also there is a cool modifier already inside of c4d, look up atom array, it lets you render the splines as well as small spheres.
its located under the array, boolean, etc tab…. this is closer to what you are familiar with in MAX…

    Hi

There is also a plugin called solid spline pro. All you have to do is asign the plugin as a tag and then enable the option from the rendering effects. But its not free.
