Just use the DVD Architect templates that are in Vegas. They are already set up to give good quality.

That’s fine as long as your movie doesn’t get too large to fit on a DVD. Then you would want to consider using a variable bit rate.

What will you use to show it? DVD’s will be interlaced (unless you render progressive 24p) and all DVD player software will deinterlace the footage for you so it shouldn’t matter. If you just play the raw files, some media players will not know to deinterlace so stick with DVD player software.

> I`m going to show a movie on a projector.. Is it the same if I`m making a file for windows mediaplayer or if I`m burning it to a DVD?

If the original footage is standard definition then WMV or DVD MPEG2 will not matter. If the footage is HD then WMV playback on a PC will give you better quality specifically for use with a projector but don’t go above the resolution of the projector which is sometimes surprisingly low for the cheaper models.
