    Hey!

I’m rendering a Power Point video (through Sony Vegas Movie Studio) for my client and have ran into an issue.

    The original video plays fine…

But when I render it, the slides overlap each other whenever they transition to the next slide.

It happens at right at the beginning of this video (below) and at :03…

    Rendered video: Powerpoint slides overlap

It does this to all the slides in the whole video.

    Can you please help?

    Thanks!

I’m not familiar with how you would bring a Powerpoint project into Vegas, but what I see of your short video clip, it looks to me like the slides are set to transition from one to the next via fadeout/fadein. If each of your slides from Powerpoint is an “event” or a discreet entity that can be moved on the Vegas timeline, I’m guessing each slide is overlapped with the next. The amount they overlap, in relation to the project timeline is how much time they will exist on screen at the same time. As an example, if the slides are overlapped by 1.0 seconds on your timeline, then during that 1 second period, the first slide will fade out while the second slide fades in. If you can move each slide (event) so they are stacked end-to-end rather than being overlapped you should be OK. This can be done relatively easily as long as you have the Ripple Edit function on and the Snap to Events turned on.

    Options > Prefs > Editing.
Disable the option highlighted below and your images won;t overlap[ unless you make them do it manually.
