Rendered text looks bad
Posted by Matthew Engelson on June 11, 2012 at 9:18 pmHello there,
So I’ve spent a great amount of time trying to figure out what Render Settings work best for my footage, and I think I have figured it out. But now, the text that I use in a project does not look very good. It has lines through it and it looks blurry. Anyone have an idea to why this is?
Thanks for your help,
Matt Engelson

June 12, 2012 at 12:35 amIf your project is 720 x 480 resolution, you need to
double the resolution of your texts (1440×960) and all
will be ok.Steve Rhoden

June 12, 2012 at 11:58 amI’m assuming that this was text done in Photoshop?
So if my Vegas project is 1440 x 1080, what size canvas should I use?

….The same 1440×1080 size canvas (If not doing any panning
or such). And for a bit of ease, you can save as PNG instead
of PSD.Steve Rhoden

June 12, 2012 at 7:18 pmIn your text window (Video Media Generators Window),
at the top, far right, you will see a Media Properties Button,
click on that and make your changes in the Frame Size and click ok.Steve Rhoden

June 12, 2012 at 11:20 pmIt seems the resolution size doesn’t make much different. I don’t know if this will help, but I am rendering to AVI and the picture is good, but the text is not. But when I render it to WMV, the picture is not as good but the text looks fine.
