Rendered output bumps up saturation and contrast
When rendering from DV to an MPEG-2 file, I notice the saturation and contrast both increase. When compared to MPEG-2 files encoded by TMPGEnc, the difference is striking (and not desirable). Could I have missed something in my project settings?
I’m using DV Type 1 files captured outside Vegas, and I’ve changed my preferences in Vegas to allow the Microsoft DV codec. The reason I didn’t capture using the Sony DV codec is that I’m new to Vegas, and I already have a hard drive full of footage that needs editing. Could the MS codec be the cause of the overly saturated, contrasty output?
