  • Rendered items don’t stay rendered

Posted by David Cooke on June 5, 2009 at 4:23 pm

Noticed after rendering, winthin moments, red lines appear showing these items on the timeline
need to be rendered. One time after rendering, hitting home to return to the head of the timeline yielded all those items showing up un-rendered. Later, after rendering, not even at the machine,
they red lined-unrendered portions of the timeline “popped” back up.
No pattern to this problem yet. Are the FCP Preferences corrupted, some “cache” memory too full.
Deadlines are approaching, so any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

Sorry Shane. We are editing in standard def, usually footage from a DVCPRO50 Panasonic camera. Using
After Effects 8.0.2 Photoshop CS3 usually a ‘couple of layers’. We edit alot of car commercials.
    thanks,

are you moving the clips on the timeline? moving them can cause this ‘unrendering’ problem. Also, might want to check that your sequence settings and your footage settings match? Trashing preferences and restarting might help too. Take heart that when you export, the exported file should be fine. Hope this helps. Good luck
