Alright… I have to admit, it’s kind of embarrassing how many questions and posts I have had lately but I hope my questions have helped someone out there besides just me.

Okay so with that said heres my “New” problem. I am doing a credit roll in 2k and having to convert it into Log Space for the film out (this is how I have to deliver it), since there are graphics in the credit roll. I am using the Cineon Converter found under utilities to accomplish this. This is probably not the problem I am just trying to give as much detail as possible. So at the beginning and end of my composition I have exactly one frame of black before you start to see the credits roll. When I render this out I have it set to Comp length not work area. My comp is 3:30:00 long. The final rendered Cineon Sequence ends up being that exact length but my credits don’t actually appear until about a second and half to two seconds from the beginning and end. Whats the deal? The frame rate is 23.976. I have checked all my settings on output and on import. Everything seems to be fine. Thanks in advance for your help.

Is it taking a second or so to get past title safe?

No, it doesn’t even show up at the very edge of the screen until about 2 seconds in. It doesn’t make it to title safe until a couple of seconds later. It has to be something with the way it rendered or the settings I gave it. But as far as I can tell, theres nothing weird with the settings.

[Jason McKee] “The frame rate is 23.976”

This may be unrelated, but if you’re delivering a Log Cineon Sequence why do you need to use a 23.976 frame rate? Why not 24? Is this intended for both Cineon and tape?

If you render a draft mov is the timing correct?

Also, to clarify, your credits don’t appear at all in the rendered sequence until frame 48?
