Now that I’m using AVCHD to edit, Vegas is working really well, and I’m editing on 11. I have about a 4 minute project that I cut in some music for, and during the sections with music (I cut out the recorded audio during those segments), the music stutters and I hear slight pops and hisses. I’ve never had this problem with any version of Vegas. The other day I rendered the same project and had this problem, but the second time worked fine. I went back to edit a little more and each time I render it (to mp4 with GPU acceleration), I get stutters just in the music. It’s a piece of Kevin MacLeod, whose music I use constantly. It plays fine when I preview it on the timeline.

Strange. Too high of a bitrate renders usually show as stutters in the video before the audio. What MP4s parameters are you rendering too? To eliminate the problem, try turning off GPU acceration, then try another audio file, and lowering the render bitrate. Let us know what you find.

I tried closing and re-opening Vegas, which worked. The project was rendered to 1440×1080, 1.33 PAR, average 12 MBS bit rate (I shot the footage at 12 MBS), maximum bitrate 14 MBS, and audio sample rate 48k hz, bit rate 192k.

So for now it works, but I have no idea what caused this.
