  • Render to WMV 1920×1080 in VMSP 9?

Posted by Jensen Harris on November 25, 2008 at 5:11 pm

    Hello,

I have 1920×1080 footage shot on a Vixia HF11 camcorder.

I would like to render it to WMV 1920×1080, but the highest available image size in the encoder settings appears to be 1440×1080.

I can set “custom” and manually type in 1920×1080 as the output dimensions, but then my video gets rendered letterboxed instead of filling the frame.

How can I render to WMV while keeping the 1920×1080 native resolution of the video?

    Thank you!

Did you set the Pixel Aspect Ratio to 1.000 (square)? At 1440 the PAR is 1.333 but at 1920 the PAR is 1.000.

    Thanks for the reply!

I did set it to square (1.0)

The aspect ratio is correct in the final render, it’s just letterboxed on both sides unfortunately.
