Ok, so here it’s what happens: i have this DVD which audio i want to edit. I have copy-pasted the DVD folders into my computer, and i can import the .VOB’s files just fine…

the problem is that i only want to edit the audio and then burn the disk the way it came… with the whole IFOs and BUPs… and actually with the whole VOBs files… i want to keep everything the same, except the audio track (which i can edit perfectly)

my first idea was to edit each .VOB and render it with the same name (e.g. VTS_02_4.VOB) but i realized Sony Vegas can’t render into VOB… or is there a way to do it???

the second idea i had is to only render the audio (on mp3, aac, or whatever format) and then use another software to replace the original audio of each VOB file… know about any software like this??

or third, i could render the whole movie on a format (which format??? with which codec???) and then convert it (with which software??) into a .VOB file

so, i will do more research and that… but i wanted to post the question in order to have more info… specially for the first question (“if it’s possible to render on VOB using Sony Vegas”)

    No.

VOB files are for all practical terms, MPEG2 files.

But since a DVD is a single, uninterrupted data stream, you can’t just edit part of it.
