  Render Time too much for a simple Solid Layer.

  Hi everyone,

  I have an issue with AfterEffects. I’m new to it, but still i think this must be wrong.

  1. I opened AfterEffects for the first time.

  2. Created a Solid Color Layer.

  3. Render (default values .avi)

  A 1920×1080 px, 20 minute “empty” composition took 20 minutes to render !

  Does this seem normal?

  How can I speed up this simple composition so I can start from atleast something reasonable before adding more layers and effects?

  Also this 20 minute video is 200GB….

  My system is:

  Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) – i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz

  Installed Physical Memory (RAM) – 16.0 GB

  VideoCard – Geforce GTX 1650 (MaxQ Design)
