Render takes moire than 24h
Posted by Oliver Kulawiak on March 20, 2016 at 1:16 amHello, sorry if I spam too much, but is there a way to render in shorter time ? At first, it showed the render would take 9h,but after 4,5h even 1 minute wasn’t rendered. Any solutions ?

March 20, 2016 at 9:48 amWhat are your memory and multiprocessing settings in Ae? You do not have enough RAM to use multiprocessing effectively. If you have multiprocessing enabled, I’d disable it. I’d also try reserving 4 GB for other applications.

March 24, 2016 at 1:28 pmI had to upgrade to 16GB of ram to alleviate the problem you had. Some effects are really taxing like particles or blurs. Also manipulating embedded large files like photoshop, AI, and pre-rendered videos can slow it down. So if you don’t have enough Ram, your system will hang, and will interrupt the render.
Simply designs 8GB will work, but once you get into more complex effects and compositions, or start using 3rd party plug-ins, you will need 16GB minimum.

RAM reserved for other applications is 4gb, same with for AAE.
