November 29, 2007 at 12:48 amIf it is the same frame that causes the error I fear it may have some kind of error in it. Maybe the alpha channel is incorrect or something.
Try these steps:
1. If you have rendered that section delete the render and try to export again.
2. I hope you have after effects…
2a – Import it into after effects as a sequence (tick box).
check the alpha channel for the prob frame against the one’s next to it.
2b – If all seems ok, render out the section where the prob occurs. (Set the work area at a key image to start so you can sync it easier in PPro).
2c – Import that to PPro and replace that section (overlay) where the tga seq is.
3. I used to work in 3d TGA image seq a lot and sometimes it would drop have to start and the frame we picked up from was not quite done. May have to ask for that frame to be re-rendered and replaced in the seq folder. It will update next time you open the PPro project.– Jon

November 29, 2007 at 12:16 pmIf it’s inconsistent then I’m not sure the file is the issue.
Is there a way to make it happen? If not…
Your RAM memory could have a leak. Our tech guy found that one of the sticks of memory was faulty, ran some download-able test, we replaced it and never had that issue again.
Did you recently upgrade the mem? Have had it for a while? have two brands in it?

November 30, 2007 at 12:21 pmThe error is in someway consistent. It is frame determined. What is undetermined is the nature of the error. We usually can fix it by reimporting the frame, or rendering it out again and just substituting it. But since the project is a 3D project there is a lot of

November 30, 2007 at 12:55 pmUsing the reverse function, can you use a clip rather than the images sequence? It might be freaking out reading the massive amount of images in reverse?
I find the hold frame function a little crap. I export a still and replace it with the section I’ve got on hold. Much better result.
It’s interesting situations like this I’m fascinated to work out in person. hahahaha.
I guess using work arounds is the best way to work with this situation. Reverse the clip at 100% and make a separate clip with this. Use that as the one to shrink it to 70 or whatever, always moving in forward speed changes.

November 30, 2007 at 2:47 pmyes, I also think that the work around option is the going to be the best option. Even tough by now I found out how the settings have to be to reverse and alter the speed on a seq. of TGA and export the seq. without problems.( -70% speed (reverse velocity) + blended frame deactivated = no render problems). It does present later on problems when a transition is added between the altered TGA Seq. and the next clip or seq. Since the blend frame option has been deactivaded (to prevent the render error) it doesn
