    Hi there,

I always film in HDV 1080i but often render out to DVD for clients. I am wanting to store a version in 1080i I wondered what would be the best format/render settings for this. I have noticed I can select HDV and mpeg2 in the drop down in the hdv render template. I guess I need to make it as easy as poss to burn a bluesy version at some future date. Thanks Martin

Yup, you’re on the right track. I would create the 1080i version using the same format that your camera shoots. If your HDV camera shoots 1440×1080 MPEG2 then that is what I would render to.
