Render Settings Question
The Case: Showing a Sports Video that I have shot and edited in HD (1080p, Sony M2T files) on a projector which is super bright (5200 lumens) but which has a native resolution of 1024×768.
What are the optimal export/render settings to have this video display as clearly as possible on this projector?
Playing video off of a standard DVD, BTW.

I beleive ont your output settings you can set the format to MPEG2 and then just type in the correct pixel dimentions (make sure the “Linked” button is not selected).
Ya might try that and see how it comes out.

If you are playing of a standard Video-DVD, you don’t have a choice:
720×480 for NTSC (PAL is different).If you are playing off a data-DVD (DVD-ROM), you have nothing but choices, so test, test, test.

If you are playing off a standard DVD player like Jeff said, 480i, if the player will do progressive then 480p, render out as 2-pass VBR max, min and target determined by the length of the video and whether or not a dual-layer, also use the “Maximum Render Quality” option but only if you have alot of ram(more than minimum sys requirement)
