    hey there/// guys.. i have a clip already rendered out with AE. this is my source clip. and now i hv to make some changes which i did..

    i loaded my source clip .. ( rendered with quicktime animation codec.. so my question is now again rendering this clip after i hv mad ethe changes.. wont it double compress it… i mean it was already rendered with codec.. and i got it in AE made some changes.. so now i render again.. im thinking will i loose quality..

    i dunno if im making sense here.. if i am.. i would appreciate some response.

    Animation is pretty much lossless — it’s designed for multiple rendering. So go ahead.

    Do a test if you’re worried about quality loss.

    The Animation CODEC can be both lossless or lossy, depending on the quality setting. Anything above 95% is generally accepted as being lossless.
