Render problems
While putting together clips in the timeline, using final cut pro 4, I find that I cannot view them in the canvas until they have been rendered. When attempting to render a single clip out of a sequence I first highlight the clip and then: sequence/render/video. No render takes place.
I then attempt: render only/needs render. No render takes place.
It is only when I select sequence/render all/video that rendering takes place.
Should I be going about this differently. An suggestions/clarifications re correct process would be appreciated.
