OK, so I have a plane object that acts as a floor. On that plane I have various objects coming out of grass that appear embedded into the plane. From the camera angle I’m using I can’t see anything that goes below the plane and that is how I want my image to render but with the plane object also transparent and everything below it.

I used a composting tag on the plane, maybe I didn’t have the right settings but when I rendered it out everything that I didn’t want to see underneath the plane was visible.

    Does this make sense?

I’ll try and clarify: I only want to see the objects that are sticking out from the flat floor plane, everything else, below the plane and in the background will be transparent when I open the image in photoshop. Can you help?

I really do love good design – https://www.splurj.com
