  • Render & Output Module Settings (FRAME RATE)

Posted by Norman Greenwood on April 4, 2009 at 2:06 pm

I am fairly new at AE, but I think I’m getting a firmer grasp the more I try to do.

I noticed something that may not matter though, yet, I figured I’d ask rather than be taught an expensive lesson later.

When I choose to output as a QT file and decide to change the defualt frame rate of 29.97 to 23.98, and then press “OK”, I get a message stating to change the frame rate in the render settings. Going back to the render settings, I find that the 23.98 frame rate is chosen.

Will my QT file render and export into a 23.98 if I leave the default 29.97 alone and hit “OK”? Or do I need to change something else to allow me to choose the frame rate I desire for a QT file?

    Thanks.

The render settings will usually use the frame rate of the composition you want to render. You can leave it at 29.97 in the QT settings, this will not affect the render. Only the frame rate in the render settings is important.
If 23.98 is chosen in the render settings, the QT movie will be rendered with this frame-rate.

I don’t want to be mean, but I’m going to assume your foreign as that’s the only thing that I can induce from why your replying to an old post with little-to-no details…

I have no idea what Camtasia is other than some sort of recording software, so you’ll need to give us more details like the container and codec you used for export?

Have you tried anything other than Camtasia to play this and see if it works “smoothly”?

This thread is almost 4 years old. My question has nothing to do with yours. You should make your own thread so people can see that it is about something not related to this my title.

    Kudos on your English though!
