Render out square pixels in AE? Please?
I have a big clip which was originally sent to Compressor from FCP7 and rendered out as 640 X 480 square pixels.
Which is what I wanted.
BUT When take a piece of that clip, bring it into AE to add an effect & then render it out with “Current Settings” it delivers
Pixel aspect NTSC – CCIR
But I WANT
pixel aspect square just like the original.Any way to render out with square pixels? I understand default in AE is square, so…
What am I doing wrong? -

Have you checked your composition settings in AE to make sure it is set to square pixels?

Yes, I did. Finally discovered which codec to use & in comp setting. it works but renders out a much larger clip with lots of black space around the edges. So when I bring it into fcp7 I have to bring it up to 100%% and image correctly fills window on correct timeline. Kinda sloppy but it works.

Thanks Todd. Got annoyed with Response tonAdobe thread asking me why I want square pixels!? Anyway, I seem to have found what seems like a workaround since out render of AE comp with square pixels gives
Me larger clip with black space around the image. But if I look at it at 100% in FCP7, it fills the frame in correct FCP timeline setting. -
