  • Render out RGB and alpha using HDV 1080i60 codec?

Posted by Rob Sankey on August 2, 2005 at 2:41 pm

I’m trying to export a lower third with an alpha but the alpha option is grayed out in the render settings. Any way to do this and maintain my composition size, which is 1280×720?

    Thanks in advance,
    RS

HDV isn’t going to support an aplha I’m afraid. You’ll have to use a codec that does and just set it to the same resolution that your HDV project is in.

Some codecs that support alpha are: Quicktime|Animation codec (very popular), PNG, TIFF, TGA, IFF.
