Hey, I am still very new to FCP. I have some filters on my clips (color correction). I am wondering if it is best to render the clips or keep my options open if I want to tweak the filters at a later date.

I am exporting a sequence and I wonder if the fact that my sequence is not rendered is why it is taking a long time.

Render the clips. When you tweak, you render again and have new render files to reference.

yes, if you don’t render before you export, the export will render, THEN export. But the rendered files will ONLY be in the export, not available in the project. Which is why it is better (and faster) to render, THEN export.

Shane can I ask you. 6mins of Prores 422 files , 1 clip. Using 1 filter= magic bullet denoiser. Render time 9 hours ? does that sound correct?
