I’m sure this is a newb questions..i have two audio files and a video file. I want to render an mp4 with stereo. I want to ignore the audio that came with the video file and render the video with one audio file as left channel and one as right. I looked at audio busses etc; nothing pops up.

note – i am NOT trying to combine or use left/only right only of an audio file. I want to render the left channel to come from one audio file and the right channel to come from another audio file.

    Yeah, pretty newbie..

Just mute the audio tracks that you don’t want to be rendered.

I should have mentioned i know how to suppress the audio info of the video file.

But won’t your suggestion make the two remaining mono files be summed into a single mono channel on output? I want one audio file to be rendered as left channel and another as right channel.

    Happy to help 🙂

On the 1st external (replacement) audio track which you want to be your new “L” audio, just change the track’s “Pan” to be hard left. On the 2nd external (replacement) audio track, change the track’s “Pan” to be hard-right.

If you don’t see the PAN setting on the tracks, you may need to make the track a bit larger (as you shrink the track’s size it slowly starts removing the info you see)

so i thought the pan was the to pan across the input channels; but it seems to control how the audio gets rendered. and i can map the audio events to buses and the bus sees to have the pan slider as well..ty!
