Currently I have ~10 .veg videos that I want to create a single .mpg (for DVD) with. Is it better to render each individually as a .mpg then compile all those and render again into a single .mpg or simply import all the .vegs into a single video instance and render as a .mpg?

“…simply import all the .vegs into a single video instance and render as a .mpg?”

This is the preferred option as doing it the other way will result in a definite quality loss.
If you had no choice but to do it the first way, render to AVI first and then to MPEG.

I would just drop all of the VEG’s into one big project as nested projects and render the whole thing to MPEG. This is the easiest way.

I’d also drop the .veg files into timeline unless they don’t contain too much effects that saturates CPU, memory or harddisk bandwidth and prevents you from working on the final project.

Else, I’d render a lossless avi.
