im working with an 8.2.2 LE system to output video. i am rendering a series of videos that i would like to be able to quick-import into 8.2.2 on my macbook pro. i want to avoid rendering them out to another codec then having 8.2.2 have to rerender them upon import. installing the codecs doesnt do anything on my macbook pro. is there a way to do this at all?

What program do you use to render on your MBP? The point is that the Codec currently is PPC only, so any program that needs to access it has to run under Rosetta. You usually can force applications to run under Rosetta on Intel Macs by setting the “Run under Rosetta” checkbox in the Info window (CMD-I from the Finder). Non-Universal applications like AE should run under Rosetta automatically and therefore “see” the codec.
And btw., Media 100 is working on an Universal version of the Codecs.
