    hi!

i want to pre-render an after effects intro thats currently in hdtv 25 to an hdv 25 avi to use it afterwards with hdv 25 camerashots. but when adding to render quere and selecting hdv 25 parameters, the dimensions are wrong, the frame is not broad enough. although hdv 25 per definition also has a frame side ratio of 1,78….. what am i doing wrong?

    tnx and best regards, matze

You should be looking at Pixel Aspect Ratios (PAR) as well as Frame Aspect Ratio. HD always uses square PAR while HDV uses non-square PARs.

My recommended workflow is to always work in square PARs. Hence, setup your HDV comps as HDTV comps. Scale each footage to fit the comp. Drop your HDTV footage, in its unadulterated format and you should be good to go.
