  render freeze?

  upon opening fcpx, it opens to a small project. i’ve gone in and changed some keyboard shortcuts and it seems ok.

  upon opening a project, it begins to automatically play. i pause play and open background tasks right away now, and it shows rendering. it was freezing at 73%, then several times at 3%, and now just at 1%. rainbowspinnydiscfromhell, force quit, reopen fcpx, reopen project, repeat. i deleted the short clip that i had made a change to. (wouldn’t work in main project, so used another project as a workspace, then copy/paste it into main project timeline.) unusable.

  is there something i can do from the small project fcpx opens on, to make room for whatever rendering it thinks it needs to do on the larger project? or is there something else i can do to solve this?
